<p>Hey there!</p>
<p>Many times, people ask me why they can&#8217;t get rid of the fat that is around their lower abs and belly buttons.</p>
<p>&#8230;A great question to ask because if you don&#8217;t specifically train this area and give it the attention that it needs, it probably will never go away on it&#8217;s own.</p>
<p>The SECRET to getting rid of it is simple&#8230;hold in your tummy <br />(pretty much)all day long, but especially while you are exercising or sitting.</p>
<p>You can ask any of my clients now: while I am training them, I&#8217;ll say: &#8220;hold your tummy in&#8221; about a hundred times in a workout.</p>
<p>The effects of holding in your tummy does two main things to your <br />midsection:</p>
<p>1.  It lets your body know that the lower abs aren&#8217;t a safe place to keep it&#8217;s precious stored energy: your body fat. (And if you aren&#8217;t introducing and NEW fattening foods into your body, then you can really get some dramatic results in a short period of time)<br />2.  It shrinks the circumference of your midsection by strengthening your abdominal muscles. (As you strengthen muscles, they tend to tighten up)</p>

<br />hydroxycut, good product, gears towards both. so does lipo-6. i think its just the tv ads that you are getting this interpretation. if you pick up any issue of &quot;Flex&quot; magazine, or &quot;Muscle &amp; Fitness&quot; and you will see all kinds of ads for men. </p>
<p>Woman watch more tv during the day, house wives, then men do. thus, it would be good marketing that they are geared towards woman.</p>

At your age, it is hard to say if you need to lose weight or not, because growth spurts make it hard to know if you gained weight before height, or height before weight, (or are about to gain height, or about to gain weight, etc).</p>

To figure out how much water here&#39;s a handy little formula:<br />
take your weight&#8230;pretend it&#39;s ounces and then divide in half&#8230;that number is the number of ounces of water you need each day.  If you weight 120 pounds, drink 60 ounces.<br />
Don&#39;t forget the fruit.<br />
I have read a lot about weight loss lately and eating lots of fruit in the morning and early afternoon is believed to be very helpful - especially the watery kind like oranges, apples and grapes.<br />
I&#39;ve also read that we don&#39;t need carbs in the evening unless we plan to do a lot of running or something that will use them up&#8230;maybe have the bulk of the protein in the late afternoon and evening and the bulk of the carbs in the earlier part of the day when you are most active.<br />
I&#39;m also working to lose some weight and find I feel so much better if I follow those rules than if I eat my carbs and other heavy foods at night.<br />
Also quit the caffeine by 2pm and get your sleep&#8230;sleep is crucial to weight loss.<br />
Remember to exercise&#8230;muscle burns lots of fat!<br />

<p>A two-year study conducted by researchers at George Mason University, INOVA Fairfax Hospital and the National Cancer Institute may open the door to new therapies for combating chronic diseases associated with obesity, a condition that affected more than 33 percent of American adults in 2005-06 according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.</p>
<p>While analyzing samples taken from morbidly obese patients undergoing weight loss surgery, the researchers discovered that substantial quantities of melanin&mdash;a pigment that gives the skin, the hair and the iris of the eye their natural color&mdash;were being produced in the study participants&rsquo; fat tissue.</p>

<p>Cuppa could be a cancer killer</p>
<p>CAN green tea protect against breast cancer, bowel cancer and leukaemia? Australian researchers have been given almost $1million to find out.</p>
<p>The four-year study also hopes to identify the genetic make-up of people who are able to benefit most from certain chemicals, called polyphenols, which are present in green tea.</p>
<p>If successful, the study will add to a growing body of evidence showing green tea with health benefits such as weight loss, lower cholesterol levels and prevention of diabetes.</p>
<p>Professor D&rsquo;Arcy Holman from the School of Population Health at the University of Western Australia said more than 70 laboratory and animal studies worldwide had consistently shown that green tea halts tumour cell growth.</p>
<p>This study hopes to find whether those anti-cancer effects translate to humans, particularly for breast, colorectal and blood cancers.</p>
<p>Raymond Mao imports six types of tea from China and serves them at My Tea House in Neutral Bay.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I sit each customer down for five minutes and tell them which tea is good or not good for different conditions,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s a bit like wine tasting, but I do tea tasting.&rdquo;</p>

<br />Ok, I&#39;m a 20 year old male, so my metabolism is pretty quick. What I usually eat for breakfast: A few hard boiled eggs, two types of fruit servings, 2 slices of whole wheat bread with peanut butter, a small bowl of cereal with skim milk, another glass of skim milk, and a glass of orange juice.</p>
<p>I eat a generally large breakfast since it stimulates your metabolism and gives me energy for the day. Then in about 3 hours I will probably eat another 300 calories in the form of a sandwich and I&#39;ll have a handful of almonds on the side. They&#39;re a great source of protein and good (unsaturated) fats. </p>
<p>Then for my 3rd meal around 3 I&#39;ll probably eat a salad with oil and vinegar with some sort of protein rich and whole grain meal.</p>
<p>At about 6 oclock I will eat something similar.</p>
<p>The point is, I eat often (every 3 to 3.5 hours) and I keep each meal under 400 calories. This keeps my metabolism at its peak. I also go to the gym 3 to 4 times a week so that my body uses all the protein and calories I consume.</p>
<p>I make sure to eat many fruits and vegatables as they contain many vitamins and minerals. Also, make sure you have some good fats in your diet. Good sources of good fats are basically any fat that is not an animal good. Nuts, olive oil, sunflower seeds are good sources of this. You need fat in order to burn fat.</p>
<p>Also remember that when eating, each gram of protein and carbohydrates contains 4 calories while each gram of fat contains 9, this rule holds true for all types of food.</p>
<p>Stay away from sweets, it&#39;s ok to indulge every once in awhile but not to eat a lot everyday. I don&#39;t know what else to really say, but the key to burning fat is to stay active, burn more calories than you consume, and to keep your metabolism going. NEVER SKIP BREAKFAST.</p>

<p>- Get some Fruits in your house loaded, and eat those when you are hungry but try<br />
Drinking Lots of water too.</p>
<p>- Exercises - </p>
<p>1.) Punch air - Makes your arm look non-fat.<br />
2.) Running/walking - Good for you also burns what you ate in the past 24 hours.<br />
3.) Biking - Burns the most calories and fun. just ride around fast for 10 - 20 minutes<br />
straight.<br />
4.) Swimming burns the same and more as biking, because your using your whole body, You<br />
can loose 5 pounds by swimming for 2 hours doing fast laps.<br />
5.) Weight lifting - Light weights make your muscles the same and get the fat off you<br />
also you look better. Heavy weights - Builds muscles like body builders.</p>
<p>       But, People like you for who you are and if they don&#39;t and you wanna<br />
change so they will like you don&#39;t because that is not a true friend.But<br />
if you are really fat, and you want to impress a girl, then do what I just told you<br />
Believe me it works. DONT get frustrated if you don&#39;t see results, because it will<br />
take about 3-5 days mabey even 2 days if you try really really hard.<br />

HERES WHAT ELSE YOU CAN DO :</p>
<p>Get on your couch and put your behind right on the edge of it or<br />
where your comfortable, and start doing sit ups while watching T.V., I<br />
do This everynight and moring for 100 sit ups for 3 sets. I did this for<br />
4 days and got a flat stomach</p>
<p>You might start seeing your lower body stick out more, and thats normal,<br />
All you do is lay on a flat floor and raise your legs for 25 seconds each for<br />
 5-7 sets. Do this in the moring and at night. P.S. - Lower body is the hardest part<br />
to get tight so don&#39;t get frustrated about instant results cause your not going to get<br />
instant rusults.</p>
<p>If your pecks, or known as your upper body is popping out, then do some<br />
push ups at your house. Do 10-15 a set if you wait them to get a bit littler<br />
and cut. You see guy models with cut pecks because that is what turns the lady on.</p>
<p>For cardio vascular - Skip fast rope for 3 minutes then another session<br />
do this for 30 minutes if you want results fast!<br />
Also jogging. Helps tremendously! Do 20 minutes of jogging, and if you<br />
can&#39;t do the whole 20 minutes jogg in between. </p>
<p>Foods that I eat alot :</p>
<p>Apples - 0 calories and feels you up.</p>
<p>Green beans - 60 calories a CAN but great for your health.</p>
<p>Grapes - Idk how many calories but great too.</p>
<p>Any fruits are good for you.</p>
<p>Drinks : </p>
<p>Soda - Twice a week or non</p>
<p>Water - ALOT 0 calories, good for you, FEELS you up alot.</p>
<p>Orange juice - Great for your health.</p>

Try counting calories since almost everything has the calories written on it and never ever eat more than 1000 a day. Bust dont eat less than 800 or you will feel weak and may even get a disease or something. When you eat out, first go to the webpage of the place you&#39;re going and choose the best option you can! Stay away from fried stuff, and make all your drinks zero calories (diet coke, iced tea, water). And also use common sense when eating, thats very important:)</p>

<p>SOME TIPS</p>
<p>I have studied exercising and weight-loss for fifteen years and the number one misconception is that you weight too much. Dont stop reading if you want a hot body. You are not trying to loose weight you are trying to loose fat . There is a big difference, I no girls that are 5ft weight 110 and have hot bodies. This is because they have muscle. So if you want to look better gain muscle and burn fat.</p>
<p>OK now ill explain how:</p>
<p>Now one day eat normally as you would and count the calories you ate. If you do not no the amount of calories of a cartain food look it up.</p>
<p>Lets say you ate 2,000 calories<br />
the next day 1950<br />
then 1900<br />
then 1850<br />
then1800</p>
<p>cut it down slowly or else youll not loose weight and even if you do youll gain the weight back.</p>
<p>But cutting down on calories dont cut it take sugary and fatty substances out of your diet.</p>
<p>no chips<br />
no soda<br />
no cake &#8230;..</p>
<p>Also increase the protein intake. Eat proteins with low fat like chicken, fish, egg whites, whey protein shakes are good. Most of all eat your fruits and vegetables . Do not eat to late because it is a fact that you do not burn many calories sleeping so you gain weight by eating before you sleep. Eat small frequent meals. Meaning eat 5 times a day of small meals example:</p>
<p>when you wake up have a fruit (maby apple) and oatmeal<br />
then 2-3 hours later<br />
another samll meal and so on the best meal items,</p>
<p>eggs,<br />
protein shake,<br />
gereen vegetables (salads) remember lots of dieters eat salad but ruin it by putting dressing. No dressing its not healthy.<br />
yogurt<br />
orange juice (healthy but no more than 1 glass daily)<br />
if you drink milk do not drink whole milk. fat reduced milk<br />
brown rice- no white rice<br />
beans&#8230;</p>
<p>high protein low carb&#39;s. But do not be afriad of all carbs you need carbs like oatmeal, brown rice, pasta&#8230; just dont overload</p>
<p>Also remember to walk 10 minutes after breakfast!!!</p>
<p>You still have not done enought to loose weight</p>
<p>You must EXERCISE!!!!</p>
<p>ok i reccomend 10 minutes of walking every day after breakfast.</p>
<p>and do extra exercises 5 days a week. This includes cardio. Most people think they can loose weight with just dieting. Nope you must do 30+ min cardio 5 days weekly</p>
<p>Its is important to vary what you do and not let your body get too used to the exercises,</p>
<p>Things to do for cardio:</p>
<p>walk (fast)<br />
jog<br />
sprint<br />
cycling<br />
swimming<br />
running stairs<br />
jumpring jacks<br />
jump ropes<br />
play sports (maby join a track team)</p>
<p>I no a lot of girls think theyll become manly by working out but it shapes the body and maked you look better.</p>
<p>So i reccomend working out 3- 4 days a week. This will tighten your buttox and chest. help create a flat stomach and get rid of flab on the arms and legs.</p>
<p>Please workout&#8211;<br />
I reccomend working out no longer than 50 min 4 days a week. The reason 50 min is because when you lift weights after 50 minutes your body breaks down muscle for energy instead of fat so i usually go 45 min<br />
my schedule:</p>
<p>thursday- chest and back<br />
friday- abs<br />
saturday- legs<br />
sunday- arms</p>
<p>Follow every thing i said and youll loose weight. It is a slow process and unlike dieting these effects will be life- term without having to starve your self all you have to do is eat healthy.</p>
<p>Stay motivated and even when you feel you cant loose weight and get muscle you can its a slow process.</p>
<p>So it may take over a few months maby even a year.</p>
<p>THE CHOICE IS YOURS FALL FOR THOSE FAKE COMMERCIALS ABOUT LOOSING 10 POUNDS IN A WEEK OR WORK HARD UNTIL YOU ACHIEVE THE BODY YOU WANT.</p>

<br />Okay&#8230; I&#39;m 15 and lost 30 pounds this past year, so listen up to what I did:</p>
<p>1) Eliminate sodas! - Very sugary and high in calories, getting rid of them alone and replacing them with water will be about 5 pounds in a week.<br />
2) Get rid of desserts! - Still craving ice cream?  Try low-calorie, less fat, and Weight Watchers ice cream treats.  Still as tasty!<br />
3) Cut extra meals! - Hungry when you get home from school?  Reach for some carrots or an apple rather than cookies or a sandwich.<br />
4) Get a lot of sleep! - Trust me, it really does help.<br />
5) Drink a lot of water! - It&#39;s good for you and works wonders for your skin, along with replacing high-calorie soft drinks and sports juice.<br />
6) DON&#39;T crash diet! - Always eat, but only when you&#39;re hungry and stop when you aren&#39;t, but just replace higher-fat foods with fruits, veggies, and nuts (no, not overly salted nuts either).<br />
7) Exercise! - Even 15 minute daily walks really do help!  Just go for it, and do it with your friend.</p>

<p>Collision hospitalizes driver</p>
<p>BIG LAKE &mdash; A Big Lake man remained in critical condition at Providence Alaska Medical Center on Monday afternoon after he ran a stop sign and collided with an oncoming car Sunday evening, according to the hospital and Alaska State Troopers.</p>
<p>David K. Winters, 43, was traveling west on Hollywood Road and failed to stop for the sign at Big Lake Road, troopers said. Winters&rsquo; 1990 Ford pickup continued into the path of a 2004 Ford Excursion driven by Seth L. Brower, 33, of Houston. Brower and two passengers, all wearing seat belts, were not injured, troopers said. Emergency crews extricated Winters. He was transported by LifeGuard helicopter to Providence.</p>
<p>Damages to Brower&rsquo;s vehicle are estimated at $10,000. Winters&rsquo; vehicle was totaled.</p>

<p>Palin Releases Clean Medical Summary Hours Before Polls Open</p>
<p>Just hours before voters nationwide were to head to the polls, GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin released tonight a two-page summary (PDF) of her medical history.</p>
<p>The letter, dated Nov. 3 and signed by her family physician, Cathy Baldwin-Johnson, who is on staff at the Providence Alaska Medical Center, says that the Alaska governor is in &ldquo;very good health&rdquo; and has &ldquo;no major medical problems.&rdquo;</p>
<p>Baldwin-Johnson has served as the governor&rsquo;s family physician since 1997 and Palin has sought medical attention from the clinic since 1991. &ldquo;Her visits have been related to routine women&rsquo;s health care and pregnancy,&rdquo; Baldwin-Johnson writes.<br />Read More?</p>
<p>David LaCombe</p>
<p>Palmer/Wasilla resident David George LaCombe, 62, died of natural causes, Oct. 25, 2008, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage.</p>
<p>A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 31, at Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel, 1015 S. Check Street in Wasilla, with members of the Palmer Masonic Lodge officiating.</p>
<p>David was born Jan. 6, 1946, in Attleboro, Mass., to Albert Leo and Olive Clara (Lussier) LaCombe. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and came to Alaska in June of 1982. He had worked as a personal care attendant in home health care, as a security guard, as a Wal-Mart people greeter, and as an assistant manager at Burger King. He was retired on disability. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gold panning and hiking.</p>

Brag a little&#8211; you deserve it. I have a theory&#8230; all the people who lose a great deal of weight are too busy having a life to be yakking on Answers!  Just kidding, but it&#39;s probably true more often than we&#39;d guess!<br />
